
Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement & Identity
These terms apply to the agreement between the Customer and Basing Tech (the trading name of Basing Tech Ltd , hereafter "the Company"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms and confirm you are the legal owner of the equipment provided.
2. The "Privacy-First" Data Guarantee

Ownership: All data remains your property. We will only access files or folders strictly necessary to perform the agreed repair or diagnostic.

Security: We use professional-grade security protocols while your device is in our care. However, we strongly recommend you back up your data before service.

Liability: While we take every precaution, the Company is not liable for data loss occurring during the repair or recovery process.
3. Diagnostics & "No-Fix-No-Fee"

Standard Diagnostic: We offer a free initial diagnostic to assess the issue and provide an estimate.

Exclusions: Unbranded custom-built PCs are subject to a fixed diagnostic fee, which will be agreed upon before work begins.

No-Fix-No-Fee: If we cannot find a solution or a repair is not possible, you will not be charged for labour. This does not apply to cases where a repair is possible but the Customer chooses not to proceed after the diagnostic.
4. Mobile Service & Collection

Convenience: We provide on-site visits and a secure collection/return service across Basingstoke and surrounding areas.

Timescales: Repair times vary based on part availability and job complexity. We will keep you updated on any changes to the estimated completion date.
5. Payments & Parts

Parts Deposits: If specialised parts must be ordered from third parties, we require an advance payment for the cost of the hardware.

Final Balance: Full payment is required upon completion of the service and before the device is released or returned to you.
6. Abandoned Equipment

Collection Window: We will notify you as soon as your device is ready.

Disposal Policy: Equipment not collected within 60 days of the final reminder may be disposed of to recover costs, and the Company shall have no further liability to the Customer.
7. 90-Day Warranty

Coverage: We provide a 90-day warranty on our labour and the specific issue(s) documented during the original repair.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover new issues, accidental damage, or software issues (like virus reinfection) occurring after the device is returned. Third-party replacement parts are covered by their respective manufacturer’s warranty.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of their courts.
